Zone Lead (Full-Time)
Job Summary:
The Zone Lead (ZL) reports to the Assistant Store Manager and supports merchandising in designated zones and maintains an active selling culture by ensuring that all visual aspects are set and upheld to documented company standards designed to drive sales. Provides expertise in visual standards, merchandising techniques, fixturing, and implementation of all in-store marketing elements (signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first look/flash finds) that reinforce seasons/holidays and in-store promotions within their designated areas. The Zone Lead influences store Team Members to be knowledgeable about visual merchandising and visual standards while always demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. The ZL's responsibilities require enthusiasm for vigorous lifting, carrying, moving around the warehouse-format store, and stocking.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • The ZL supports all aspects of the visual merchandising processes for the store by planning, in conjunction with the Assistant Store Manager, and leading the transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets while at the same time maintaining visual integrity, a neat/clean, organized environment, and inspiring guests to discover ideas and solutions through compelling visual merchandising.
  • The ZL supports Task Management by planning/executing the daily/weekly workload and assigned tasks as delegated by the Assistant Store Manager to deliver on visual merchandising, department and store sales goals, guest engagement, etc., and ensures all tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • The ZL participates in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions.
  • The ZL processes freight sorts, stocks product in designated areas, including down stocking and end cap maintenance while maintaining a neat, clean, organized zone.
  • The ZL supports the store team in the areas of customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention expense control, and customer experience so the store will operate effectively and profitably. Participates in regular meetings/huddles with team members on these subjects.
  • The ZL serves as a role model and coach in all areas as it relates to visual merchandising experience and provides continuous learning opportunities to all.
  • The ZL leverages daily interactions to communicate and teach/train visual priorities and creation of visual moments that support the customer experience.
  • The ZL reviews the store's financial and business data from the store scorecard, including sales and expenses, and acts within assigned zones to improve metrics.
  • The ZL ensures the maintenance of a neat, clean, organized zone, ensuring the store is always up to date with current signing and sets.
  • All other duties assigned based on business needs.
  • Open Availability (require nights and weekends)

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent.
  • Background Check will be completed.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs. as well as to move merchandise around the warehouse-format store routinely.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, climb, and reach at times. The ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, e.g., standards, processes, marketing, etc.
  • Reliable and trustworthy role model for ethical and honest behavior. Does the right thing for the team member, the customer, and the company in all situations.
