We took the pocket watch, added a strap, and put it on your wrist. Today our design lab in Milan designs the most beautiful watches for consumers around the world. **This role is hybrid and requires 2 days a week on-site in our Shelton, CT office. Remote candidates will not be considered**
Summary
The Merchandising Manager is responsible for developing and executing product merchandising strategies that drive sales, profitability, and brand growth across watch collections and related accessories. This role serves as the bridge between Product Development, Product Operations, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Retail partners to ensure the right product assortment is available in the right channels, markets, and price points.
The Merchandising Manager analyzes market trends, consumer insights, competitive activity, and sales performance to identify opportunities for assortment optimization and new product introductions. They lead seasonal assortment planning, product lifecycle management, pricing and positioning recommendations, and inventory strategies to maximize revenue and margin performance. The role requires a strong understanding of consumer products, fashion and lifestyle trends, and category management, combined with excellent analytical, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
  • Manage the merchandising of product assortments across assigned categories on a global scale, ensuring a balanced mix of styles, price points, and features that supports seasonal plans, key account needs, and sales targets across regions
  • Analyze global and regional sales data, sell-through, and market trends to inform assortment decisions, identify opportunities and gaps, and make recommendations online additions, carryovers, and exits
  • Serve as a key link between sales and product teams, translating account feedback, retail performance, and regional customer needs into assortment and merchandising recommendations
  • Develop a holistic view of global and regional assortment needs, balancing core global styles with region-specific opportunities across markets and channels
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of fashion watch and jewelry brands across key global markets, tracking pricing, materials, and assortment strategies to inform Timex positioning
  • Partner with regional sales teams on key account presentations, sell-in materials, and line reviews, and track category KPIs (sell-through, AUR, margin, inventory) to drive continuous improvement globally

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in sales, account management, buying, or merchandising, ideally in fashion watches, jewelry, or accessories
  • Previous experience in a sales or account-facing role strongly preferred, with a proven understanding of retail partner needs and sell-in/sell-through dynamics
  • Experience working with global or multi-regional assortments and an understanding of how consumer preferences vary across markets a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and comfort working with retail data (POS, Circana, or similar)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple seasonal calendars simultaneously
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative, cross-functional working style
