Job description

SUMMARY
At Magnolia, the Visual Coordinator is responsible for setting and maintaining the overall merchandising vision across all Magnolia retail entities. This position coaches and trains others on merchandising techniques and visual standards at all levels. The Visual Coordinator is highly detail-oriented and able to take direction and feedback for use in learning and growing. This person enjoys a fast-paced and constantly changing environment and can adapt to a variety of situations with a professional attitude. This position works from the Silos Grounds in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Director of Visual Merchandising and has no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement merchandise changes given by the Director of Visual Merchandising*
  • Suggest and implement merchandise changes based on product flow, sales data and on hand inventory levels*
  • Maintain merchandising to the highest standards and support peers as needed
  • Coach and train Retail Specialists to ensure all standards are being maintained to the highest level
  • Utilize NetSuite to procure product needed to maintain visual stock levels and new displays*
  • Maintain inventory management process for display units and update RF Smart photos to ensure visual accuracy for Retail Store Teams*
  • Utilize knowledge of Magnolia business and guest needs to enhance guest experience and increase sales*
  • Assists with painting, staining, detailing, and other finishing techniques to achieve the desired aesthetic
  • Participate in setting up and installing displays on the retail floor, windows, vignettes, or seasonal feature areas
  • Attend all after-hours visual installations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
  • 2-4 years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Must be available to work some weekends, evenings, special events, holidays, and attend all after hour installations as business needs require

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is expected to utilize team lifting techniques when lifting bulky items or items weighing above 50 pounds and up to 120 pounds.
