Job Summary:

Regular Faculty work under the direction of their respective Associate Dean/Division Dean and are responsible for meeting all scheduled classes/labs/clinics and providing instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College and the Department Chair's approved course outline. Regular Faculty are also responsible for using teaching methods and media designed to reach students of varying educational and experiential backgrounds to allow each student the opportunity to master the objectives of the course.
Regular Faculty are required to serve a provisional period from the date of employment until the completion of employment under three consecutive full year regular contracts.
This position may require working in virtual, weekend, evening, or various campus locations. Successful candidates must be willing to teach concurrent enrollment both on PPSC campuses and in local area high schools. The required teaching schedule is August to May.
The required pay schedule is September to August.

Minimum Qualifications:

โ€ข Completed Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services OR ability to obtain a completed Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services within 12 months of hire.
โ€ข Current Nationally Registered Paramedic or ability to obtain Colorado Paramedic Certification within 60 days of hire.
โ€ข One year of teaching experience in Emergency Medical Services.

Preferred Qualifications:

โ€ข Completed Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services or related field.
โ€ข Three or more years of teaching experience at a community college, hospital, or fire department.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience in instructional methodology, curriculum design and program planning.
โ€ข Experience in program assessment.
โ€ข Demonstrate certification as an American Heart Association Instructor in Basic Life Support.
โ€ข Demonstrate certification as an American Heart Association Instructor in Advanced Life Support.
โ€ข Demonstrate certification as an American Heart Association Instructor in Pediatric Life Support.
โ€ข Demonstrated completion of the Colorado State Instructor Series.
