A virtual teller provides customer service to banking customers through online portals and other electronic systems, often using an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM). In this role, you assist bank clients with transactions, check balances, verify deposits, and answer questions about products or services offered by your employer. You also record financial data and document each transaction into your bank's computer system. Many virtual tellers use video conferencing software to communicate with clients, though you may also correspond through email and phone calls. You may work from an office inside a bank branch, in a centralized corporate banking location, or remotely from home.
