Position Overview  

Virtual Technologies Group is seeking a highly organized and proactive IIT Warehouse Operations SPecialist to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of inventory management in our Holland, MI office. This role is critical in ensuring that goods are received, accounted for, and dispatched with precision. You will be responsible for maintaining secure and efficient warehouse and office storage areas, balancing the demands of B2B orders and service tickets. 

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented "hands-on" professional who can navigate the complexities of inventory serialization and space optimization.  

Day-To-Day Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Operational Oversight: Manage receiving, storage, and distribution in strict compliance with company policies. 
  • Organization and Cleanliness: Keeping all warehouse areas in a well-organized and clean environment. This includes disposal of all trash and unused packing materials.  
  • Inventory & Serialization: Maintain 100% inventory accuracy through monthly checks and rigorous serialization processes  
  • Logistics Management: Process orders for B2B clients and service tickets, ensuring products are prepped, labeled, and shipped promptly. 
  • Equipment Staging & Kitting: Stage, kit and prepare equipment for deployment, ensuring accuracy, completeness and readiness prior to shipment.  
  • E-Rate & Regulated Inventory Controls: Maintain strict chain of custody, inventory segregation, and documentation standards for E-rate eligible and government-funded equipment 
  • Facility Optimization: Design and implement inventory layouts to maximize space utilization and improve workflow efficiency in our warehouse and office storage areas. 
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards; regularly inspect equipment and machinery to ensure operational readiness. 
  • Vendor & Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for transport companies, suppliers, and clients regarding delivery status and service quality. 
  • Documentation: Utilize data storage systems to reconcile physical counts and monitor inventory levels. 
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits as needed by maintaining accurate inventory records, shipment logs, and serial number documentation.  
  • Travel as Needed: VTG operates several offices in the Holland, MI, Freeland, MI, and Toledo, OH areas. From time to time, travel may be required to deliver and manage inventory at our various office locations. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or inventory management. 

  • Experience handling serialized, high-value, or regulated inventory preferred 

  • Ability to travel as needed between VTG’s office locations in Michigan and northwest Ohio to deliver and manage inventory. 

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel; ability to learn new IT packages quickly. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain audit-ready inventory records  

  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to troubleshoot operational bottlenecks or equipment issues. 

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to deliver feedback and coordinate with diverse teams. 

  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to safely transport equipment. 

  • Physical requirements include:  

  • the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time,  

  • lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling inventory items weighing up to 50 lbs.  

  • the ability to bend, twist, squat, kneel, and reach to access inventory stored at various heights, 

  • ability to work in warehouse environments that may include temperature variations, dust, and confined storage spaces.  

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Previous experience with ConnectWise or similar ticketing system 

  • Previous experience with NetSuite or similar Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). 

  • Demonstrated ability to implement new operational initiatives or "gate processes." 

  • Strong numerical skills for data reconciliation and inventory forecasting.
