Temp - Technologist - X-Ray (Afternoons) in Mount Clemens, MI

Are you a dedicated Radiologic Technologist looking to make a difference in patient care while working in a dynamic, supportive environment? We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to join our team on a temporary basis. This afternoon shift role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your skills, enhance your experience, and contribute to optimal diagnostic services at our state-of-the-art facility in Mount Clemens.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform high-quality X-ray procedures, ensuring accurate imaging to support diagnosis.
  • Prepare patients and operate digital imaging equipment with precision.
  • Administer contrast media intravenously when necessary, following all safety protocols.
  • Assist in patient positioning and safety, utilizing proper lifting techniques and immobilization devices.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to allergic reactions or emergencies.
  • Maintain equipment calibration, image quality, and department safety standards.
  • Document clinical data accurately, including patient history and exam details.
  • Support departmental quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing training.

Required Skills:

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or state accredited).
  • Proven proficiency in digital X-ray and CT imaging procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety, radiation safety standards, and infection control.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot complex imaging equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality imaging standards.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with contrast media administration.
  • Prior work in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center.
  • Basic CPR certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and digital image storage.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Current Radiologic Technologist certification and registration.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of radiology or CT imaging experience.
  • Prior experience with digital imaging systems preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work afternoons, with flexibility to cover additional shifts if needed.
  • Valid licensure and certifications up-to-date.
  • Willingness to participate in quality improvement activities and ongoing education.
  • Compliance with all safety standards as mandated by the Michigan Department of Public Health.
