Position: Systems Administrator
Location: Indianapolis, IN
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Systems Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and optimizing enterprise-level systems, with strong expertise in Windows Server administration, VMware virtualization, Citrix technologies, Cisco networking, Check Point firewalls, Microsoft Intune, mobile device management (MDM), and Ivanti Endpoint Management. This role will also involve managing enterprise imaging technologies for desktop deployment and overseeing patch management processes across the environment.
Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize VMware ESXi/vSphere clusters, ensuring high availability and resource efficiency.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Citrix infrastructure, including XenApp/XenDesktop, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and NetScaler (ADC) appliances.
  • Administer and maintain Ivanti Endpoint Management for asset inventory, patch management, software deployment, OS deployment, and remote support, ensuring compliance with corporate security policies.
  • Design, test, and implement automated Ivanti patching schedules, reporting, and remediation workflows for servers and workstations.
  • Manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM), including policy configuration, device enrollment, compliance monitoring, and application deployment for iOS, Android, and Windows devices.
  • Oversee enterprise imaging technologies for desktop and laptop deployment, ensuring standardization, rapid deployment, and lifecycle management across the organization.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools, and proactively address potential issues.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint security posture management.
  • Provide Tier 3/4 technical support and mentor junior team members.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design, architecture decisions, and technical documentation.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering or infrastructure administration in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Active Directory administration.
  • Proficiency with VMware ESXi/vSphere configuration, migration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and related technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Cisco networking and Check Point firewall management.
  • Experience with Ivanti Endpoint Management, including OS deployment, software distribution, and automated patch management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and mobile device management platforms.
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and logging tools (e.g., SolarWinds, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, CCA-V/CCP-V, or Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Rubrik).
