We are currently accepting applications for a Marketing Specialist based in our San Jose Corporate Office. As our Marketing Specialist, your major responsibilities will include:
Marketing, Brand Support and Communications:
  • Manage advertising/sales promotions by developing ad copy, writing promotional pieces and designing layouts for a variety of media and channels. Work with multiple vendors to facilitate production and execution of marketing programs.
  • Participate in planning multi-channel marketing programs, member communications and financial wellness efforts.
  • Participate in multi-channel marketing planning, including an analysis of competitive products/services and selling techniques, legislation, budgets, pricing and distribution.
  • In collaboration with the Marketing Director, produce, launch, monitor and report on email campaigns, member outreach programs, newsletters and other multi-channel marketing communications.
  • Build, test and deploy email campaigns, automated journeys and targeted communications; maintain accurate lists and segments using CRM and marketing automation tools.
Digital Channels amp; Marketing Technology:
  • Maintain and update member touchpoints including the website, online banking messages, virtual assistant content, in-branch digital screens, social media channels and other member-facing platforms and channels.
  • Responsible for regular website and digital content updates and maintenance including items such as rate changes, compliance updates, member messaging and promotional offer updates.
Events amp; Sponsorships, Financial Wellness amp; Business Development:
  • Coordinate special events; monitor planning, schedules and implementation as required for proper execution of each event. Represent the Credit Union by attending events as needed, including evenings and weekends.
  • Support Business Development and branch teams with localized campaign support including digital and printed materials, promotional items, community event promotion and on-site presence as needed.
  • Contribute to financial wellness initiatives by supporting educational content creation and broader member outreach focused on financial well-being.
Analytics, Reporting amp; Optimization:
  • Measure, test and optimize the Credit Union’s communication strategy and campaign performance across email, digital, website, social, direct mail and other marketing channels.
  • Assist with marketing analytics, campaign reporting and performance insights, including tracking key metrics, preparing summaries and identifying opportunities to improve future marketing efforts.
  • Leverage CRM and marketing automation system data, engagement data and campaign results to identify member segments, support trigger-based marketing and recommend improvements to future campaigns.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two to five years of related marketing experience, preferably within financial services or a regulated industry. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to bachelor’s degree required. Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally, build strong internal and external relationships and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Must have demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to proofreading, copywriting, design, editing and content publishing skills. Strong project management, analytical, creative and problem-solving skills are required. Prior experience with and basic knowledge of graphic design concepts, content management systems, basic HTML, website content updates, email marketing platforms, social media tools and marketing analytics preferred.
Pay Range: $30.25 - $37.80; based on skills and experience.
