Addison Group is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization to hire a temporary Facilities Associate for a short-term assignment. Our client is seeking a dependable, customer-focused professional to help maintain daily office operations and provide facilities support in a fast-paced workplace environment.
Job Description:
Addison Group is hiring a Facilities Associate on behalf of our client for a 2-3 week contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on office support, facilities coordination, and delivering exceptional internal customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily office and facilities operations to ensure a clean, organized, and functional workplace
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and package deliveries with shipping carriers
- Assist with meeting and event setup, including room preparation and post-event cleanup
- Monitor shared spaces such as kitchens, conference rooms, and work areas to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Communicate with building management and external vendors regarding maintenance requests and deliveries
- Respond to internal facilities requests through a ticketing system and ensure timely follow-up
- Provide conference room support and assist with workplace logistics as needed
- Help distribute visitor badges, assist with parking validations, and support additional office operations projects
- Deliver excellent customer service while working with employees across multiple departments
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in facilities, office administration, workplace services, customer service, or a related field
- Experience using a facilities ticketing or service request system is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
