Rural Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Insurance District Sales Manager to coach, develop, and support new insurance agents as they build successful businesses throughout Wisconsin. This strategic role is ideal for an accomplished property and casualty and/or life insurance sales professional who enjoys mentoring others, building strong relationships, and helping people achieve their full potential.ย ย ย 


Working closely with the Sales leadership, you will play a key role in preparing new and existing agents for long-term success through coaching, field development, training, and recruiting.ย ย ย

Compensation:

$110,000 - $130,000 annually plus bonuses company vehicle & complete benefits package


Responsibilities:

Coach and Develop New Agentsย ย ย 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agents after completion of Rural Mutual's 90-day training program.ย ย ย 
  • Conduct joint sales appointments, provide field coaching, and reinforce needs-based selling practices.ย ย ย 
  • Guide agents through business development, sales strategies, and professional growth opportunities.ย ย ย 
  • Monitor agent progress and provide timely coaching, feedback, and weekly progress reports.ย ย ย 

Deliver Training and Supportย ย ย 

  • Facilitate engaging training sessions using both in-person and virtual formats.ย ย ย 
  • Deliver instruction on sales skills, product knowledge, business development, and company processes.ย ย ย 
  • Collaborate with District Sales Managers and business partners to ensure agents successfully transition into field sales.ย ย ย 
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance training materials, onboarding programs, and learning experiences.ย ย ย 

Recruit and Build Future Talentย ย ย 

  • Partner with District Sales Managers to identify innovative approaches to recruitment.ย ย ย 
  • Represent Rural Mutual at recruiting events, career fairs, and networking opportunities.ย ย ย 
  • Support initiatives that strengthen Rural Mutual's agency force and long-term sales growth.ย 

Qualifications:

Experience, Education & Licensing:ย 

  • Demonstrated success exceeding goals in property and casualty and/or life insurance sales.ย ย ย 
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, leading, or developing sales professionals.ย ย ย 
  • Property and Casualty insurance license required.ย ย ย 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.ย ย ย 
  • Previous experience as an agency owner, insurance sales leader, distribution leader, or similar business development role is strongly preferred.ย ย ย 
  • Experience working with agricultural customers or familiarity with Wisconsin's farming communities is a plus.ย
