Job description

Chitra is seeking an experienced Maven Smart System Instructor to assist with the following duties and responsibilities:


Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach Common Operational Picture (COP) and Maven Smart System (MSS) courses.
  • Conduct training in:
  • Resident Classroom environments (Fort Eustis, VA)
  • Virtual environments (Teams, VTC, LMS)
  • Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Support up to 15 JDTC catalog courses annually.
  • Perform pre- and post-course administrative tasks.
  • Participate in military exercises as:
  • Over-the-shoulder trainers
  • Exercise development team members
  • Control cell personnel
  • Attend and contribute to:
  • Meetings
  • Conferences
  • Working groups
  • Curriculum review boards
  • Serve as Course Director when assigned.
  • Compile student test data and certify student learning objectives.
  • Assist with curriculum improvement and distance-learning courseware development.


Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maven Smart System (MSS) operator.
  • Experience teaching or supporting operational systems training.
  • Experience supporting military exercises.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Global Command and Control System โ€“ Joint (GCCS-J).
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in operational environments.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Adult Learning Theory.
  • Instructional Systems Design (ISD).
  • Curriculum validation and improvement.
  • Classroom and virtual instruction.
  • Course administration and student evaluation.
  • Professional communication and presentation skills.

Travel Requirements

  • Must be available for:
  • CONUS travel
  • OCONUS travel
  • Passport required.
  • Travel constitutes approximately 30% of workload.

Primary duty location:

  • Joint Deployment Training Center (JDTC)
  • Fort Eustis, Virginia
