Job description

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Training Coordinator and Instructional Designer to support an innovative Agile software development program serving an Intelligence Community customer. This is a highly visible role requiring an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination. In this position, you will transform complex technical capabilities into engaging, user-focused learning experiences that empower mission users to confidently adopt new technologies. You will work alongside software engineers, Product Managers, scrum teams, and customer stakeholders to design and deliver training that enables successful software deployments.

Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of advanced training programs aligned with customer mission objectives, including CONUS and OCONUS instructor-led courses, eLearning modules, job aids, and user documentation. Partner with customer stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts to conduct needs analyses, define measurable learning objectives, and ensure training content accurately reflects geospatial intelligence tools and workflows. Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and resources for both in-person and virtual sessions. Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement cycles including feedback loops with software development teams. Provide recommendations on learning management systems, virtual training platforms, and emerging instructional technologies. Support the development of train-the-trainer programs and monitor key training metrics such as participant engagement, completion rates, and knowledge retention.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Instructional design methodology application, including adult learning principles and best practices
  • Design and development of eLearning content using tools such as Adobe Captivate or similar platforms
  • Learning Management System (LMS) administration and use of virtual training platforms such as Zoom, WebEx, or Microsoft Teams
  • Development and delivery of instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (vILT)
  • Familiarity with GEOINT systems such as ArcGIS or Google Earth and their application in technical mission environments
  • Training needs analysis, learning objective definition, and training effectiveness assessment
  • Management of complex training projects within dynamic, technical environments

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of geospatial data analysis and mapping technologies
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and incorporating Agile methodologies into the training development process
  • Experience with project management tools such as Confluence, Jira, Microsoft PowerPoint, or Microsoft Project
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and engaging senior stakeholders and subject matter experts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination
  • US citizenship required per contract
