Job description

Job Title: Psychologist (Neuropsychology) - 1099 Independent Contractor

Location: San Antonio, TX

Work Location: Hybrid (Office, Virtual, and Limited Off-Site Assessments)
Schedule: Flexible
Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: Open to discuss
Tentative Start Date: September 2026

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Texas-licensed Psychologist or Postdoctoral Fellow eligible for licensure to join our growing practice as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This opportunity offers meaningful and varied clinical work with adults and older adults, focusing on neuropsychological assessment, therapy, and forensic evaluations. Clinicians will have the autonomy to shape their clinical approach, select appropriate cases, and build a rewarding caseload with support from an established referral network and experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities
• Conduct neuropsychological and psychological assessments for adults and older adults
• Evaluate cognitive decline, dementia, neuropsychological functioning, psychological diagnoses, and decision-making capacity
• Perform civil and criminal forensic evaluations as needed
• Provide psychotherapy for adults facing complex medical and psychological challenges
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 25 scheduled appointments per week, including assessments and therapy sessions
• Participate in occasional court testimony related to forensic cases
• Collaborate with colleagues through weekly consultation groups and professional discussions
• Maintain accurate documentation and clinical records in accordance with professional standards

Qualifications
• PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an accredited institution
• Texas Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure in Texas (EPPP passed for postdoctoral fellows)
• Training or experience in neuropsychological assessment and adult psychotherapy
• Interest in working with adults and older adults with complex clinical presentations
• Ability to manage an independent caseload and schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professional integrity
