Job description

Description:

Who We Are

Beyond Code Collective bridges the gap between inspiration, training, and employment in tech, connecting learners to educational content, opportunities to develop cutting-edge technologies, and avenues to launch careers. We offer intergenerational opportunities - we are an ecosystem where all generations participate; not a pipeline that serves one age group, but a model that meets learners wherever they are in life.

From digital fluency and data literacy to automation, cybersecurity and responsible AI, we prepare learners for the full range of tools and technologies they'll encounter. Our programming keeps communities relevant now and ready for what's next as the workforce changes in real time. And our curriculum evolves with the industry - we adjust content, delivery, and outcomes to match where learners and employers are headed.

Role Overview

Forge Facilitators lead engaging, hands-on learning experiences that connect technology, creativity, and real-world application across multiple age groups, including K–12 learners, families, and adult participants. They create supportive, flexible learning environments where all learners feel welcomed, respected, and empowered to participate, explore, and grow at their own pace.

Facilitators are expected to adapt their instructional approach based on audience needs, developmental stages, and session goals. Specific age-group expectations are further defined in the evaluation rubric and onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities

* Facilitate interactive workshops and learning sessions for a range of modes (in-person and/or virtual)
* Deliver project-based and code-along curriculum using, learner-centered approaches
* Adjust facilitation style, pacing, and language to support K–12 learners, families, and adults (18+)
* Create welcoming spaces that support different learning styles, abilities, and communication needs
* Encourage collaboration, curiosity, and creative problem-solving
* Adapt facilitation methods in real time to meet learners where they are
* Lead demo lessons as part of the evaluation and onboarding process
* Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and Forge leadership to support learner success

Qualifications

* Experience facilitating, teaching, or guiding groups of learners (K12,18+ learners, career changers, entrepreneurs, 55+ learners)

* Technical skills or interest in emerging technologies (training provided as needed)

* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts in multiple ways

* Patient, empathetic, and responsive to learner needs

* Reliable, adaptable, and committed to inclusive learning environments

SALARY
