Job Description
We are seeking talent with expertise as Virtual Workshop Producers, to join our growing contractor pool. The Virtual Workshop Producer will be responsible for supporting Facilitators as they present learning programs to SDL's clients. This position will work alongside other Facilitation, Technology and Account team members in order to present a seamless experience for participants.
You will be supporting a single vILT course for up to 25 attendees, Monday through Friday, during business hours. You will be responsible for making the online classroom experience seamless for participants to engage with tools like video sharing, whiteboarding, chat, polls and quizzes. This is a long-term, ongoing, remote contract position. You would be booked on an on-demand basis, averaging 2-5 workshops per month.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support all 3-hour courses : pre-production, during workshop, and post-production.
  • Coordinate and upload all presentation materials, include slide deck, handouts, activities, etc.
  • Start the meeting when it is time
  • Be primary support for workshop facilitator; help the Facilitator manage time, field chat questions, introduce questions when timing is appropriate, and take notes for Facilitators to follow up with participants after class if time in class doesn't allow
  • Moderate online training sessions, tracking lessons learned to help create documentation on best practices
  • Provide feedback and reporting issues with the platform, as well as provide feedback on Facilitator and participant engagement to the Account team

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
  • Must have a college degree.
  • Deep knowledge of online tools such as WebEx, Zoom, Go-To-Meeting and Adobe Connect; Deep experience with WebEx a strong plus
  • 1-3 years experience in facilitating soft skills, management or leadership development workshops.
  • 1-2 years experience setting up/producing online events
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a professional and appropriate demeanor
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision
  • Must have own computer, speaker/headset, broadband high speed internet connection, and webcam
  • Be comfortable on camera and have a presentable home office that doesn't distract participants from the vILT experience
  • Have familiarity with operating systems to help diagnose issues with connecting speakers, webcams and microphones
  • Understand how browser access is imperative to helping participants join the session and engage in the session by being able to see, hear and speak
