Job description

Title: Principia Lifelong Learning Program Manager

Department/Location: Alumni and Field Relations, St. Louis

Position Type: Full-time, 12-month


Summary

The Principia Lifelong Learning (PLL) Program Manager will be instrumental in enriching the quality of the programs and support associated with Lifelong Learning and increasing participation of alumni and friends with PLL events and activities including Summer Session, trips, and other PLL offerings both in person and virtual.

You will balance working autonomously with executing assigned projects and collaborating with the team. You will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and planning Principia Lifelong Learning’s activities and programs, with direction from the Director of Principia Lifelong Learning.

With your superb customer service skills, you’ll help organize and coordinate a range of PLL activities on and off campus with the goal of advancing Principia’s relationships with alumni and friends. You will have the loving responsibility of helping lifelong learners feel comfortable and confident in their participation in Summer Session, trips, and virtual events.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports the planning and execution of specific Principia Lifelong Learning activities
  • Works directly with the Director of Principia Lifelong Learning and Senior Director of Alumni & Field Relations to understand annual strategy, project plans, and priorities and provide instrumental input and support
  • Partners with others on the Principia Lifelong Learning and Alumni & Field Relations team to complete specific tasks or assignments, including planning, project management, and execution in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinates and assists in planning assigned Principia Lifelong Learning events on and off campus
  • Provides administrative support for Principia Lifelong Learning including mailing lists, accounting, maintaining traveler lists, and coordinating with Summer Session faculty
  • Serves as a voice of Principia and is responsible for providing excellent customer service, including well-articulated and timely communications with alumni and friends
  • Listens to understand, anticipate, and address the needs of alumni and friends
  • Participates as a campus partner in fundraising, student and staff recruitment, and career networking
  • Assists in ongoing evaluation of Principia Lifelong Learning programs to ensure Principia’s offerings remain timely and relevant for alumni and friends
  • Helps maintain strong working relationships with travel partners, vendors and internal departments to ensure all parties are fulfilling their commitments
  • Supports Advancement Department activities and events, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Student of Christian Science preferred
  • Supportive of Principia’s guiding statements as articulated here https://www.principia.edu/about/guiding-statements
  • Enthusiastic commitment to Principia’s Advancement objectives
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, coordination and execution or relevant field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; familiarity with Canva, InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, work some weekends, and occasional long/irregular hours during PLL travel and events as well as special events and reunions (on and off campus), as needed

Compensation and Benefits


We offer a competitive starting salary range for this position: $56,903 - $66,221 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
