The Monitor Technician is responsible for the ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. 


REQUIRED

  1. One (1) year of experience as a Monitor Technician
  2. Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework.
  3. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
  4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED

  1. CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) Certification through CCI.
