With limited supervision, the Assistant Kitchen Manager supports back-of-house team members and Kitchen Managers by maintaining restaurant kitchen standards and consistently achieving overall quality daily. An ideal candidate should be a leader with a coaching attitude who enjoys helping the restaurant management team and team members run efficient back-of-house operations. Â
POSITION DETAILSÂ
- Maintain high employment standards consistent with Bloomin' Brands policiesÂ
- Assist in set ups for the opening crew in the kitchenÂ
- Check schedule for in-coming team membersÂ
- Adhere to and coach on security proceduresÂ
- Evaluate the close from night beforeÂ
- Review daily inventoryÂ
- Prepare to receive ordersÂ
- Track of shelf-life adherenceÂ
- Check temps on freezer, dish machine and refrigeration units before preppingÂ
- Learn flavor profiles and specifications of menu itemsÂ
- Follow recipe cards with no compromiseÂ
- Review daily sanitation checklists and conduct checksÂ
- Conduct daily health inspectionsÂ
- Adhere to sanitation, temperature and food safety standardsÂ
- Work the flow and timeliness of tickets to ensure exceptional cook timesÂ
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSÂ
- Certified trainer in any back-of-house functionsÂ
- Passing grade in Assessment testingÂ
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible scheduleÂ
- Legal authorization to work in the United StatesÂ
- Minimum 21 years of ageÂ
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTSÂ
- Previous experience in restaurant industryÂ
- Previously held positions of leadershipÂ
- Trained and proficient in all areas of back-of-house functionsÂ

Compensation Range: $15.00 - $22.00
