THE ROLE

Under the direction of Senior Manager, Data and Analytics Architecture, the Data & Analytics Platform Administrator will administer, monitor, and maintain the organization’s data platform and its underlying cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, compliance, and cost efficiency. The administrator manages Microsoft Fabric tenant settings, capacities, and workspace configurations while enforcing governance policies and security controls. They administer Power BI at the tenant level, including workspace governance, gateway management, capacity monitoring, row-level and object-level security, content sharing policies, and usage analytics reporting. The administrator performs database administration tasks including backup/restore operations, index maintenance, query performance tuning, RBAC permissions management, health monitoring, and high availability/disaster recovery procedures. They administer Azure data platform resources including Azure VMs with SQL Server, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Azure Integration Services components (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid). The administrator configures and manages Microsoft Purview accounts, data governance policies, classification rules, sensitivity labels, data scanning processes, and data catalog features across the organization’s data estate. They maintain comprehensive documentation including runbooks, standard operating procedures, and architecture diagrams, manage platform-related work items and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and collaborate with the analytics team, integration developers, and stakeholders to ensure platform reliability and alignment with organizational governance standards.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field AND several years of experience in Cloud systems design, implementation, management and support

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.

This position is a two-year term.

The selection process will be done virtually.
