Join our exceptional team at Poplar Hill Health and Rehab, conveniently located at 360 Hospital Drive, Warrenton, VA. We are seeking a dedicated Floor Tech to help us deliver outstanding sanitary services to our residents.  

Your Role as a Floor Tech: 

The floor technician is responsible for maintaining clean, safe and sanitary floor surfaces throughout the facility. This role ensures all flooring including resident rooms hallways common areas and clinical spaces is properly cleaned polished and maintained according to infection control and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

·         Perform routine and deep cleaning of all floor surfaces including dial carpet vinyl wood and concrete

·         Operate-floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors and wet vacuums

·         Strip wax seal and refinish hard floors on a scheduled basis

·         Shampoo and extract carpets and upholstered furniture as needed

·         Maintain infection control standards in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

            Inspect floors regularly and report maintenance or safety concerns

·        Assist in maintenance department as needed

·         Collaborate with housekeeping and nursing staff to minimize disruption to residents

·         Maintain respectful compassionate interactions with resident families and staff at all times

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or GED preferred

·         Prior experience in floor care, housekeeping or environmental services in healthcare or hospitality preferred
