Job description

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Product Launch Leadtojoin our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. You will beresponsible for organizing, maintaining, and distributing accurate product information, and for managing the company's product introduction process. This role works across departments to ensure all product data, documentation, and launch materials are complete, up to date, and delivered on schedule. In this role you will play key role in preparing the organization for new product releases by coordinating timelines, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring launch readiness.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the product introduction process, ensuring accurate, timely preparation for new product launches in collaboration with Product Managers and cross functional teams, and provide regular updates and status reports to executive leadership.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage product informationwithin the Product Information Management (PIM) system, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and availability across all channels.
  • Create and refine product messaging, translating technical terms to Voice of the Customer (VOC), including features, benefits, competitive positioning, and product stories, in partnership with Product Managers and Marketing for use in print, video, digital, and dealer facing materials.
  • Work closely with Product Managers andcross-functionalteam membersto coordinate activities and ensure launch readiness.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate communicationof product information across Marketing, Sales, Training, Media, and all internal and external channels.
  • In collaboration with Product Managers, develop and deliver product related trainingto internal teams, boat builders, dealers, and media as required.
  • In collaboration with Marketing,prepare drafts of product documentationand publications, including catalogs, spec sheets, launch materials, and technical support content.
  • Support product related events when necessary-including photoshoots, boat shows, product launches, and media activities-and collaborate with video production, marketing, and technical training teams to identify, develop, and distribute product support assets.
  • Participate in additional assignments, special projects, or cross functional initiativesas required to support departmental and organizational objectives.

What you need to be successful:

  • BA / BS degree or equivalent professional experience in a related position required.
  • 10 + years of experience inproduct management, product marketing, product introduction, or a closely related discipline.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and appropriate Yamaha Internal Systems (YMBS, YWMS, SAP, etc.)- or the ability to rapidly obtain said proficiency - is a must.
  • Extensive experience preparing and delivering complex product-based materials and launch programs.
  • Support and coordinate product launch activities, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Strong technical aptitude required; experience with product usage and applications is highly preferred.
  • Marine industry and/or dealership experience is a strong plus; boating knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate across diverse teams with varying levels of experience.
  • Highly analytical, proactive, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion is required.
  • Travel: approximately 30%, with short periods of heavy travel (i.e. overlapping or closely scheduled survey trips, projects, meetings, boat shows, etc.)
