DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Success Criteria: Establish and execute the Rapids' visual identity through moving images by consistently producing innovative and compelling promotional and brand-centric content. Lead a high-performing Brand & Promo group and greater video team by fostering an environment where producers, editors, talent, and motion designers are empowered, inspired, and aligned in purpose to deliver impactful storytelling across all platforms.
  • Video Production Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of video producers to produce high-quality, on-brand content that elevates the club's visual identity. Set creative standards, champion innovation, and ensure all content aligns with organizational goals and fan engagement strategies.
  • Creative Strategy and Execution: Oversee the end-to-end production process, from concept development through final delivery, across all media platforms-with a focus on. Ensure all content is original, compelling, and consistent with the club's brand and storytelling objectives.
  • Production Oversight: Provide guidance and creative direction to internal talent and videographers. Lead productions to maintain a cohesive and distinctive visual style aligned with the club's brand narrative.
  • Gameday Experience: Elevate the experience of every fan who attends a Colorado Rapids match through the use of video, music, sound and motion graphics. Maintain a cohesive fan experience that reflects and conveys the organization's brand and identity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Soccer Operations, and Community Relations to align video content with organizational initiatives. Partner to develop strategies that enhance fan engagement and deliver measurable impact across all platforms.
  • Gameday Operations: Contribute to gameday production workflows, ensuring seamless execution of live events and timely delivery of video content that maintains brand consistency and engages fans in real time.
  • Team Development and Mentorship: Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive team environment. Provide ongoing mentorship, professional development, and constructive feedback to producers to build skills and strengthen the brand team.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Typical office conditions
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, including standing at sporting or other events for extended periods of time
  • Occasional travel to other markets for match coverage and networking.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • 3+ years of experience in video production or related field
  • 1+ year of team leadership and people management
  • Strong understanding of video production and proven storytelling ability using video & audio
  • Familiarity with a variety of the industry concepts, trends, best practices, and procedures
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously
  • Experience operating a variety of camera systems
  • Experience creating motion graphics using Adobe After Effects
  • Experience with video workflows from pre-production and scripting through capture, edit, delivery and archiving
  • Understanding of best practices in lighting and sound recording in video production

Preferred
  • Experience working with professional sports leagues/teams or for an entertainment property preferred
  • Familiarity with a variety of industry concepts, trends, best practices, and procedures
  • Possesses knowledge of and passion for the sport of soccer and an understanding of the characteristics of soccer fans and soccer culture
