Job description

Find your calling at Mercy!The Public Safety Assistant ensures a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers across Mercy facilities, including specialized and locked-down units. This role involves managing access control, producing and modifying identification badges, monitoring various security technologies. Responsibilities also include writing detailed incident reports, assisting caregivers in real time, supporting child welfare agencies with child custody matters, and maintaining proficiency across all assigned systems. The position operates on variable 8.5-hour shifts and requires strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.Position Details:

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.

Licensure: Must have a valid state driver's license

Experience: none required

Preferred Requirements:

Preferred Education: Technical training including: end user training on basic computer, video management system, door access system, infant and child protection system, report-dispatch system, Evolv weapons detection system and visitor management system.

Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in customer service position. Experience operating computer.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Skills: Multi-task oriented. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of relevant computer applications and ability to type.
