To help with this, we're looking for an outstanding AD, National Video - someone who can take the reins on the ever-evolving TV and streaming landscape, win the hearts of clients, inspire their teammates, and skillfully juggle multiple pieces of business.

Responsibilities

As Associate Director, National Video, you will provide investment leadership across paid video channels, including Linear TV, Addressable TV, and streaming video. In this role, you will manage the video investment teams to ensure a consistent go-to-market approach and create synergies with our media strategy to exceed campaign KPIs. 

You'll play an instrumental, game-shaping role in developing strategic cross-platform video approaches and implementing innovative strategies across linear, streaming, and addressable TV to grow our clients' business. We are seeking a leader who will bring an innovative approach to planning and buying, endless curiosity to identify new opportunities, and an ability to achieve value through strong partner negotiations.

Day-to-day, your role includes:

  • Overseeing development of cross-channel video strategies and analysis for clients - collaborating closely with Media Strategy, Media Precision, Account Management, and Measurement teams to ensure that work is strategically aligned and on-brief
  • Serving as a central point of contact for clients and internal teams for the broader video investment portfolio
  • Speaking fluently to all video channels, but especially calling on deep expertise from activating in linear TV
  • Building and fostering strong partnerships with relevant media partners in the video ecosystem, including ability to constructively navigate negotiations and leverage cross-channel investments (i.e., linear broadcasters, CTV partners, ATV operators, etc.), as well as offering guidance on product roadmaps and agency wish lists
  • Leveraging data & audience insights, as well as historical performance, to validate video investment strategies, inform tactical decisions, and exhibit ongoing willingness to optimize investments for campaign success.
  • Overseeing the work of video specialists, managing workflow, and providing strategic guidance and oversight
  • Providing thoughtful feedback to direct reports, using performance evaluation and internal process improvement to develop and motivate talent
  • Contributing to new business pitches by lending strategic video expertise and high-level planning across a variety of categories and prospective clients
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest advanced video offerings in the marketplace spanning streaming and addressable TV
  • Promoting a culture of shared learning and increasing visibility of video expertise within the agency
  • Being a leader through strength and stability -- functioning as a point of escalation for clients and team members as needed.
Qualifications

We're looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • Six to nine years of media planning and buying experience, with a strong focus on cross-channel video
  • Deep expertise in digital streaming video, in particular
  • Experience working within pharmaceutical and healthcare environments is a plus 
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, communications, or equivalent
  • Analytical background - comfort with data and numbers
  • Deep industry relationships with video partners
  • Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of how to add incremental value and communicate that to our clients
  • Strong communication and writing skills-you're poised, precise, and above all, kind when engaging with others
  • Able to package, merchandise, and sell in concepts and new opportunities
  • Strategic thinking and able to see the bigger picture
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting
  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALLE, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation

Additional InformationCompensation Range: $97,375 - $155,961. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
