Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. is seeking a career minded Marketing intern to support our Videography and Editing initiatives. This is a full time/Temporary internship position reporting out of Central Phoenix office. 

Sunland is a leading asphalt solutions provider and general contractor known for delivering exceptional quality, reliability, and innovation to its customers. With a reputation built on decades of combined industry expertise, we specialize in a full range of services-including commercial and residential paving, maintenance and repair, sealcoating, milling, and largescale infrastructure projects.

Sunland Asphalt is seeking a motivated and creative Videographer / Video Editor Intern to support the Marketing team in capturing and producing visual content across job sites, recruiting initiatives, company events and brand marketing efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in both field production and post-production editing while contributing to real-world marketing and storytelling initiatives.

essential DutieS:

Field Production & Content Capture:

  • Assist in capturing video footage and photography at active job sites, company events, recruiting initiatives, and other company activities
  • Shadow and collaborate with Sunland's videographer to support consistent editing styles and content standards
  • Support shoot preparation, including setting up cameras, lighting, microphones, and other production equipment
  • Participate in job site safety orientation and shadowing opportunities prior to independently visiting active project sites
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and PPE requirements while visiting active job sites
  • Ensure captured content aligns with Sunland's brand standards and marketing guidelines

Video Editing & Production:

  • Assist with editing raw footage into engaging short-form and long-form video content
  • Support creation of social media content, including reels, captions, motion graphics, and platform-specific formatting
  • Make edits and revisions based on feedback from the Marketing team
  • Help organize, upload, and maintain video and photography files within the company's digital asset library
  • Apply creativity and visual storytelling techniques when supporting assigned projects and video initiatives

Marketing & Content Support:

  • Support execution of the marketing content calendar as directed by the Marketing team
  • Assist in documenting project milestones, team activities, recruiting efforts, and company events
  • Collaborate with Marketing team members and internal stakeholders to fulfill content requests and project needs
  • Support content creation efforts for marketing, recruiting, internal communications, and company storytelling initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media Production, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience through coursework, internships, freelance work, personal projects, or portfolio samples preferred
  • Basic familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar)
  • Foundational knowledge of camera equipment, lighting, microphones, and video production techniques
  • Interest in videography, photography, and visual storytelling
  • Willingness to travel locally to job sites and work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom
  • Drone operation experience or interest in obtaining FAA Part 107 Certification
  • Basic knowledge of social media content trends and platform formatting
  • Interest in construction, industrial, or outdoor work environment
