Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Content Creator leads content strategy and production on behalf of Proliance Surgeons.
This role is responsible for developing, producing, and managing high-quality, engaging digital content across social media, website platforms, and other digital channels to support patient acquisition, referral growth, service line visibility, and brand awareness.
The Content Creator will oversee content development with a strong focus on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and must be comfortable creating and editing surgically graphic content in a professional, compliant, and educational manner. This role combines creative storytelling with technical production skills and digital performance optimization to drive measurable engagement and growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of the Content Creator include, but are not limited to:
Content Strategy & Development Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with organizational goals and service line priorities
  • Lead content planning and calendar development for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and other key service lines
  • Collaborate with surgeons and clinical teams to identify compelling patient education topics, procedure highlights, and brand storytelling opportunities
  • Ensure all content aligns with Proliance brand standards, messaging guidelines, and compliance requirements
  • Translate complex surgical and medical concepts into accessible, engaging patient-facing content
  • Maintain sensitivity, professionalism, and ethical standards when producing graphic surgical content

Video Production & Multimedia Responsibilities
  • Plan, film, and edit high-quality video content for social media, website, paid campaigns, and digital advertising
  • Capture in-clinic and in-operating room (OR) footage, including surgically graphic material, while adhering to HIPAA and consent requirements
  • Edit video using professional platforms (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent)
  • Develop short-form video content optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
  • Produce long-form educational content for website, YouTube, webinars, and digital campaigns
  • Manage lighting, audio, camera setup, and post-production workflows
  • Advise on and recommend professional video production equipment (cameras, lighting, audio, stabilization, and editing tools) to ensure high-quality, scalable content capture across care centers
  • Manage digital media organization and storage, including categorizing and labeling photos and videos within shared drives by procedure type, surgeon, and campaign to ensure accessibility and compliance

Social Media & Digital Engagement Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
  • Create platform-specific content optimized for algorithm performance and engagement
  • Develop compelling captions, hashtags, and calls-to-action
  • Monitor engagement, comments, and trends to inform ongoing strategy
  • Track performance metrics and adjust content to maximize reach, engagement, and conversions
  • Stay current on platform updates, trends, and best practices

Paid Media & Campaign Support
  • Develop creative assets for paid social media campaigns
  • Collaborate on paid media strategy and campaign execution
  • Analyze paid social performance and optimize creative based on data
  • Support retargeting and digital funnel strategy through content creation

Analytics & Performance Optimization
  • Monitor social media insights, Google Analytics, and other digital reporting platforms
  • Provide regular performance reports and recommendations to leadership
  • Use data-driven insights to refine content strategy and maximize ROI

Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper patient consent for all content
  • Maintain documentation of media releases and approvals
  • Work closely with Compliance and leadership when capturing surgical content
  • Ensure responsible and ethical representation of clinical procedures

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Film Production, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional content creation experience
  • Demonstrated experience creating video and digital content across major social media platforms
  • Experience working in medical, aesthetic, surgical, or healthcare environments strongly preferred
  • Experience with graphic or surgical content preferred
  • Paid social media campaign experience required
  • Website CMS experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in video production and editing platforms (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn algorithms and best practices
  • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics platforms
  • Understanding of SEO principles and content optimization strategies
  • Strong storytelling and visual composition skills
  • Ability to professionally manage and edit surgically graphic content
