Job description

smartdept. is searching for a UGC Content Creator for a specialty food and gift client located in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 1+ years of experience creating UGC-style video content. This is a project-based, fully remote or hybrid contract opportunity.
Our client is building a paid media creative engine for Q4 and needs authentic, UGC-style video content, think unboxing and product demo videos filmed in a natural home setting, that can be tested and scaled across paid social channels.
What You'll Do:
Shoot UGC-style video content showcasing gift and food products in a natural, authentic setting (kitchen, living room, or similar). Record voiceover narration for videos. Comfortable on camera and/or delivering natural sounding voiceover. Strong instinct for pacing and hooks in short-form social video. Able to work independently from a creative brief. Reliable communicator with fast turnaround.
Education/Experience:
No formal degree required. Looking for a demonstrated portfolio of TikTok, Reels, or UGC-style video content, 1+ years creating this type of content preferred.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience creating content for food, gift, or CPG/DTC brands. Basic scriptwriting for short-form video hooks. Familiarity with paid social ad content and usage rights/whitelisting for Spark Ads or Meta boosted content. Range across unboxing, testimonial, and demo video styles.
