Job description

Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) — Family Practice & Urgent Care Location: Victory Medical (Austin & Westlake)

Victory Medical is a full-service family practice and urgent care provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals and families. Our clinic offers comprehensive primary care, preventative services, chronic disease management, urgent care treatment, in house draw station, and expanded services including pharmacy, weight loss and wellness programs. We pride ourselves on clinical excellence and compassionate care for all ages.

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. This provider will deliver high-quality care across both family medicine and urgent care settings, managing a broad spectrum of acute, chronic, and preventative health needs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes. This position offers an extremely competitive salary with opportunity for commission and bonus pay as well as benefits including medical, dental, vision, matching 401k, CME allowance, malpractice coverage, and an employer provided life insurance policy. You will be eligible for discounts on medical and aesthetic services as well as medications and supplements from our in-house pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care including wellness exams, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol), preventive health screenings, immunizations, and medication management.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention.
  • Manage patient care through telemedicine and in-person visits.
  • Assess and treat non-life-threatening conditions such as colds, flu, infections, sprains/strains, minor injuries, burns, and other urgent complaints.
  • Perform point-of-care testing and interpret diagnostic labs and imaging.
  • Provide wound care, laceration repair, and other minor procedures as trained/credentialed.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient visit flow and quality care delivery.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Comply with clinic policies, state regulations, and billing documentation standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical guideline updates.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, clinical support staff, and administrative teams to optimize practice operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications Required
  • Current NP or PA license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum one year of experience in family medicine or urgent care settings.
  • National certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or additional certifications preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgement, interpersonal skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.
Preferred
  • Comfort managing a wide age range from pediatric through geriatric patients.
  • Experience using Athena.
  • Ability to work flexible clinical hours including occasional evenings/weekends.
