About Victory Medical
Victory Medical is a full-service medical practice that has served Central Texas since 1996. Our mission is to enhance the lives of our patients through compassionate, comprehensive care that incorporates both conventional and integrative approaches to treating the whole person. Our Center for Medical Weight Loss is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and highly organized Wellness amp; Medical Weight Loss Coordinator to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, providing one-on-one support, and helping individuals achieve meaningful improvements in their health and wellness. The role combines patient coaching, program coordination, administrative responsibilities, and light Medical Assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Support amp; Program Coordination
  • Contact prospective patients and provide information about available weight loss programs and services.
  • Assist patients with scheduling appropriate consultations, follow-up visits, testing, and provider appointments.
  • Review upcoming schedules to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately and required visits or testing are completed.
  • Conduct introductory consultations with patients interested in the medical weight loss program.
  • Educate patients on available program options and help them select a plan that best supports their individual goals and needs.
  • Clearly explain program pricing, expectations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain familiarity with the nutritional plans, meal replacement programs, medications, supplements, and wellness services offered through the program.
  • Educate patients regarding requirements associated with medical weight loss medications, including follow-up intervals, cardiac testing, drug screening, laboratory testing, and other applicable program requirements.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to patient phone calls, voicemail messages, emails, and electronic messages.
  • Maintain accurate chart reminders related to program packaging, billing, follow-up requirements, and patient needs.
Health amp; Wellness Coaching
  • Provide supportive, individualized coaching around nutrition, lifestyle, medication adherence, and program compliance.
  • Help patients establish realistic and measurable goals between visits.
  • Review patient progress and identify opportunities for improvement or additional support.
  • Encourage accountability while maintaining a compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental approach.
  • Recognize that every patient is at a different stage of change and provide consistent support regardless of motivation level or setbacks.
  • Create a welcoming environment in which patients feel heard, supported, and encouraged throughout their health journey.
Medical Assistant Support
Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred but not required. Training may be provided.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Check patients in for medical provider visits.
  • Obtain patient weight and perform Body Composition Analysis.
  • Review body composition reports and measurements with patients.
  • Obtain and document vital signs.
  • Complete review of symptoms.
  • Update patient charts, including:
    • Current medications
    • Supplements
    • Changes in medical history
    • Current health concerns
  • Maintain communication with providers and Medical Assistants through the clinic tracking system.
  • Perform EKGs as needed.
  • Administer injections as directed and within scope of training.
  • Begin or prepare medical provider documentation.
  • Assist with prescription requests and pharmacy communication as directed by clinical staff.
  • Accurately document applicable charges for patient checkout.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked patient rooms.
Inventory amp; Clinic Support
  • Maintain inventory of Center for Medical Weight Loss meal replacement products, bags, and related supplies.
  • Notify designated team members when products or supplies need to be reordered.
  • Assist with general clinic organization, stocking, laundry, and shared floor responsibilities.
  • Help maintain an efficient, professional, and patient-centered clinical environment.
Qualifications
Preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in medical weight loss, wellness, nutrition, nutraceuticals, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Experience working directly with patients or clients in a coaching, wellness, medical, or customer service environment.
  • Familiarity with medical weight loss medications, nutrition programs, supplements, and body composition analysis.
  • Medical Assistant experience is a plus but is not required.
