Job description

When you join First Financial Credit Union as Electronic Services Processor at our operations center in Pasadena, you are joining a team of dedicated, self-motivated individuals who enjoy helping others and working in a collaborative and progressive environment. As an Electronic Services Processor, you'll support member service operations through the accurate and timely maintenance of electronic processes including but not limited to ACH/Share Draft returns/Stop Payments, ATM, debit and credit card functions. Qualified candidates will have at least one to three years of financial institution experience with a working knowledge of electronic transactions including ACH and wire requests.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review all incoming request for completeness and accuracy
  • Process all incoming/outgoing wire requests, ACH, & share draft exceptions
  • Process all incoming mailed correspondence and faxes
  • Process any and all requests requested by EVP/COO/CFO with appropriate authorization
  • Process daily incoming and outgoing wire request as required with proper segregation of duties
  • Complete all wires for internal Credit Union business (Accounting and Real Estate Department)
  • Complete daily wire packets (documents, statements, and required approval)
  • Process all Incoming/Outgoing FRB adjustments
  • Process daily ACH exceptions
  • Process daily reclamations (log, host, track, adjust, package)
  • Process daily indemnity/affidavit forms (log, host, adjust)
  • Complete ACH disputes (log, host, adjust)
  • Process all applicable documentation and or letters as required
  • Process share draft exceptions
  • Process Large Item Notifications on FED
  • Process fraud item return (adjust, host, log)
  • Process Returned items
  • Process Journal Vouchers
  • Process ATM Network adjustments/chargebacks
  • Process ATM balancing & adjustments
  • Process ATM disputes/chargebacks/research
  • Process Coop ATM adjustments/chargebacks
  • Process Cashier's check stop payments and copies
  • Process Cashier's check disbursement
  • Process FSCC/Shared branch adjustments
  • Process incoming mail payments & deposits
  • Process and post member payroll
  • Complete research & miscellaneous letters
  • Complete all incoming member request
  • Assist less experienced staff in resolving share account reviews/research
  • Archive all required share documents
  • Strong knowledge of First Financial products and services
  • Answer inquiries from Branches and Member Contact Center concerning frontline processes
  • Ensure that all processes are completed within timeline, and communicates any process delays to management immediately
  • Prepares written correspondence to Branches and Member Contact Center for missing or incomplete requests.
  • Informs Management of any potential losses or delays
  • Reports status of all open tasks weekly as directed by management
  • Reports all violations of internal loan policies and Government Regulations to management
  • Completes or attends required compliance and/or industry training as assigned.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with laws, regulations, Credit Union policies and procedures
  • Must comply with all BSA and OFAC regulations

Qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A thorough knowledge of operations and Credit Union philosophy.
  • A thorough knowledge of systems and overall products and services
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Some knowledge of consumer regulations and accounting principles.
  • Ability to review all incoming request for completeness and accuracy is a plus.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Experience working with Symitar core system is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • Three or more years financial institution experience, in an ACH origination/electronic payments environment
