About this position:

The Vice President, Commercial Systems & Operations Officer leads the overall direction, development, and governance of commercial lending systems and operations. This role partners closely with the Senior Vice President Chief Commercial Officer and cross-functional leaders to design and implement scalable operating procedures, enhance system capabilities, and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the position drives alignment of business unit data with the Credit Union's data governance framework, promoting accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all commercial operations.

What you'll do:

Data Governance & Reporting Oversight

  • Oversee SilverLake data management to ensure accurate, consistent reporting across all departmental outputs and adherence to established data governance standards.

  • Partner with the Data Governance team to define, implement, and uphold data quality standards across all Commercial systems.

  • Direct the development and distribution of Commercial loan reporting-including monthly production, reserve analysis, call reporting, and compliance reporting-ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate stakeholder delivery.

Compliance & Regulations

  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including HMDA, Regulation B (ECOA), SCRA, Section 1071, and applicable insurance and flood regulations.

  • Maintain and continuously enhance the Commercial Lending & SBA Operations Manual, ensuring documentation is comprehensive, well-organized, and accessible, with clear procedures, compliance guidance, and best practices for operational success.

Operational & Administrative Leadership

  • Oversee key administrative functions of the Commercial Lending department, including general ledger reconciliations, loan file maintenance, and accurate loan boarding in alignment with approved terms and supporting documentation.

  • Administer the Commercial Lending intranet and SharePoint platforms, ensuring resources and communications are current, relevant, and consistently updated across all markets.

  • Support additional initiatives and projects as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of Commercial and SBA operations.

Systems Management & Integration

  • Serve as the primary liaison for Commercial systems (SilverLake, Symitar, Suntell), working closely with Information Services to approve configuration changes and safeguard system integrity and data integration.

  • Lead the negotiation, renewal, and management of Commercial software vendor contracts, including LaserPro, Suntell, IBISWorld, Moody's CMM, and Lereta.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years of prior commercial operations, documentation and/or information systems experience.

  • Working knowledge of core systems Jack Henry Symitar and SilverLake as well as underwriting software Suntell Square 1 Credit Suite, and loan documentation software LaserPro.

  • Experience with MicroSoft Office products with strong working knowledge of Excel required.
