About This Role
This position is a contract placement through Robert Half Staffing and is not a direct employment opportunity with the credit union. Candidates will be employed by Robert Half and assigned to work at our branch location(s). Depending on performance and organizational need, this role may convert to a permanent position.
This is an in-person role requiring a minimum of three days per week, Monday–Friday, between the hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
What You'll Do
- Greet members and process financial transactions accurately and efficiently, both in person and by phone
- Receive and disburse funds, post transactions, and verbally confirm transactions with members to minimize errors
- Accept loan payments and savings deposits; address account inquiries and validate checks and cash payments
- Issue cashier's checks, process coin-to-currency exchanges, and money orders per established procedures
- Balance your cash drawer daily and report any outages to your supervisor
- Cross-sell credit union products and services where appropriate
- Research and resolve member and internal inquiries related to products, services, and account activity
- Apply BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC requirements consistently
- Support other departments and branches as needed
What You'll Need
- High school diploma
- Cash handling skills at a financial institution (bank or credit union) is a requirement
- Computer and technical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid interpersonal skills — courtesy, tact, and professionalism are essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, member-facing environment
- Reliable, consistent attendance
- Jack Henry Symitar experience a PLUS
- Credit union experience a PLUS
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and work on a computer 6–8 hours per day
Compensation
All compensation and benefits are administered through Robert Half. Compensation will commensurate with experience.
