We're looking for a Vice President, in our Construction & Infrastructure Surety Division within NFP., to join our team . This role is responsible for strategic relationship management, retention of clients and production of new opportunities when presented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of surety products and coverages.
  • Supervise and manage the New York State Surety market for NFP preferably operating out of the Albany office.
  • Responsible for managing the overall relationship with assigned surety clients including developing and engaging multiple relationships throughout and within the client organization.
  • Travel to visit clients and engage in client development activities and entertainment. Travel approximately 25%-40%; must see clients in person on a regular basis.
  • Drive revenue growth on existing and new clients through the development of a strategic consultative sales plan.
  • Establish oneself as a self-starter leader with client account teams
  • Establish oneself as the client's primary point of contact and communication conduit for NFP.
  • Cultivate internal and external relationships to establish effective open collaboration, client advocacy, and trust.
  • Develop and obtain a broad knowledge of internal operations to efficiently and effectively solve the needs of the audience and the circumstances at hand.
  • Maintain accurate records of client (or prospect) contacts and their products using account management software or other technology.
  • Develop expertise, and remain current, in assigned client industry and/or market area, and engage in structured continuing education.

Education and/or Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Surety
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration
  • P&C producer license (or ability to get licensed quickly).

Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
