Description:

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP), Finance to join our executive leadership team and provide financial leadership as we continue to grow and evolve. This role will oversee the Finance function and lead a team responsible for delivering strong financial planning, reporting, and analysis, and for driving operational excellence across the organization.

The SVP, Finance will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating financial insights into business strategy and supporting informed, data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and experienced people leader who can balance long-term strategic thinking with hands-on financial leadership, build and develop a high-performing team, and strengthen the financial processes and capabilities needed to support the company’s goals.


Core Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership & Growth

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting: Ensure MetaMetrics has a clear budgeting and forecasting process through the FP&A processes.  Prepare monthly management and board reporting packages.
  • Optimize key economic metrics for the business: Track, analyze, and optimize MetaMetrics performance indicators including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Lifetime Value (LTV), and net revenue retention.
  • Evaluate growth and expansion: Lead financial modeling and due diligence for strategic growth initiatives, including corporate acquisitions (M&A), and our international expansion.
  • Manage equity and incentive programs: Oversee the company’s capitalization structure, including equity ownership, incentive allocations, vesting, and related financial reporting and compliance.
  • Manage capital allocation: Direct the company's capital structure, optimizing cash flow to balance continuous product development with sales and marketing expansion. 

Accounting, Governance and Audit

  • Financial Governance & Reporting Integrity: Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all corporate financial statements, ensuring strict adherence to U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Audit & Tax Compliance: Manage relationships with external audit firms, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless annual audits, tax strategy execution, and full statutory compliance.
  • Internal Controls & Risk Mitigation: Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous monitoring of robust internal accounting controls, policies, and risk management framework to safeguard company assets and support reliable financial reporting.
  • Banking & Lender Relationships: Manage relationships with banks and lenders, including cash management, liquidity planning, financing arrangements, and lender reporting.

Operations & Revenue Management

  • Establish a strong partnership with sales and product management: In partnership with sales and product management, drive successful deal terms with customers that drive their long-term customer retention and company value.
  • Navigate sales cycles: Model and forecast seasonal sales pipelines associated with Corporate and State customers.
  • Drive margin efficiency: Analyze the expense profile to ensure clear decision-making on how best to improve our EBITDA profile. This would include annual expenses that occur across the business.

People Management and Overall Leadership

  • Lead Accounting and FP&A teams: Directly supervise and mentor the Controller and Manager of FP&A, providing oversight and support across the team.  Participate as a key member of the senior executive team, providing strategic direction across the broader organization.
  • Collaborate with our board: Work closely with our executive team and investors to ensure strong partnership and transparent communication 

Travel Requirement: This position requires approximately 20% travel to support business needs, including company meetings, client engagements, and other business-related activities. 


This role can be either hybrid or fully remote.



Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree in Business/Finance strongly preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered   Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership, including at least 5+ years in a senior executive role (VP or Senior Director) managing multi-functional teams.

 Computer Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Workday Adaptive Planning).
  • Experience implementing or managing modern FP&A and business intelligence tools   (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and development of management reporting.

Other Qualities:

  • Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP standards, technical accounting, internal controls frameworks, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced mastery of corporate finance, financial modeling, forecasting, capital structure, and risk management.
  • Strong experience managing external audit, tax, banking, and legal advisor relationships.
  • Executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence at the C-suite and senior leadership levels.
  • Proven track record of building, mentoring, and leading high-performing finance and accounting teams.
  • Exceptional strategic vision paired with the hands-on capability to dive into operational details when necessary.
