Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Deputy Program Manager Systems Safety Engineering Manager 3 to be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL. Relocation assistance may be provided.
What You'll Get To Do
The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
- Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design.
- Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
- Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
- Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)
- The candidate will have experience in generation or review of design artifacts to support System Safety analyses utilized in maturing weapons system design for safety and support flight test and flight worthiness of complex systems.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelors in Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field and at least 8 years of related experience; OR at least 6 Years of relevant experience with a master's degree
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
• Experience managing cost, schedule and performance of large government technical statements of work
• Experienced in system safety MIL-STD-882E (or similar) technical teams on large complex systems
• Experience with AFSPCMAN 91-710, RCC 319-14, and/or RCC 324-11
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Experience preparing a large complex system for functional testing/verification
• Familiarity with NEPA and facilities development
• Safety Professional (ASP) Certificate
• Weapon System Experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
