Position Summary
The VP, Program Management leads complex, high-impact, or strategically critical programs from approval through delivery. This role operates with high autonomy and is trusted to manage significant cross-functional complexity drive alignment across business and technical project teams.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Lead large, complex, cross-functional programs with significant scope, risk, and dependencies
- Provide end-to-end accountability for delivery outcomes and stakeholder alignment
- Drive executive-level alignment on scope, sequencing, and trade-offs
- Facilitate resolution of escalations and cross-functional conflicts
- Serve as a senior bridge between business strategy and technical execution
- Ensure clarity of requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery expectations
- Communicate program health, risks, and decisions to senior and executive leadership
- Partner with Finance and PMO Operations on financial management and value delivery
Position Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in financial services or related industries
- Demonstrated leadership of enterprise-level or highly complex cross-functional programs
- Deep experience in credit cards, payments, banking, operations, technology, risk, or compliance
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and executives
- Strong executive presence and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience leading multi-year or portfolio-scale programs
- Experience mentoring or guiding other program managers
- Familiarity with enterprise governance and investment models
- PgMP, PMP, Agile, or similar certification (preferred, not required)
