Overview

The Performance Media Vice President is responsible for driving thought leadership and shaping holistic Performance Marketing investments to drive client's business. The Vice President will partner with clients to address Programmatic, Paid Social, and Retail/Ecommerce media landscape opportunities and bring forth new opportunities for growth. Proven excellence and experience in online retail digital media required. A background in shopper marketing and in-depth knowledge of retailer landscape is a plus. You will be accountable for working with the team to ensure performance is hitting stated revenue, sales, and online goals, and will be key stakeholder for the client and team.  

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across our key media channels (programmatic, social, Retail), understands marketplace dynamics, and can bridge the gap between channels to improve value, efficiency, and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Unified Investment Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a cohesive media investment approach that spans programmatic, Paid social, Retail/Ecommerce. 
    • Responsible for ongoing thought leadership and opportunities that will drive client business results
    • Works closely with key retail partners to maintain optimal working relationship, and collaborates on new ways to drive client's business at that particular retailer
    • Actively contribute to account strategy, including annual budget development, KPIs, partner selection, new tactics, and tracking industry developments
  • Break Down Channel Silos:
    • Champion a connected Performance attitude across internal teams and external partners, ensuring collaboration and consistency across media types.
  • Drive Marketplace Leadership:
    • Support senior-level relationships with media partners across programmatic, Social, and Retail, ensuring access to premium inventory, innovation opportunities, and first-to-market advantages.
  • Client Partnership & Leadership:
    • Serve as a senior client contact for cross-channel investment strategy, providing guidance on budget allocation, optimization, and value creation.
    • Responsible for contributing and attending larger Business reviews (QBRs, Annual Planning, etc.)
    • Connected to inter-Publicis Groupe Commerce Practice, and responsible for distributing Groupe-level POVs, Industry materials, etc.
  • Team Integration & Development:
    • Align and lead platform teams across digital fields, fostering a culture of cross-channel fluency and continuous learning.
    • Understanding of all relevant tools for reporting, analytics and competitive analysis
  • Performance & Accountability:
    • Ensure investments are tied to business outcomes through rigorous stewardship, tracking, and reporting processes across all media.
    • Key lead for client relationship, responsible for team oversight and ensuring performance is meeting client's goals
    • Support in any new business pitches and related work as required
Qualifications
  • 8-10+ years of progressive media investment experience in an agency or holding company environment
  • Proven expertise in both digital (programmatic, paid social, digital video, display, retail/ commerce.
    • In-depth experience with Amazon and Walmart is a must
    • Knowledge of activation & optimization techniques across Retailer Media and ecommerce platforms a must
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing multimillion-dollar investments
  • Deep knowledge of the media marketplace and established relationships with major media partners
  • Deep knowledge of ad serving platforms and online analytic solutions
  • Knowledge of shopper media is a plus
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Problem-solver with strong project management experience 
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting 
  • Excellent communication, diplomacy, and decision-making skills with the ability to think creatively 
  • Experience managing and building client relationships

Compensation Range: $146,490 - $210,420 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
