The Role

The Fidelity Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations (EI&O) Datacenter and Network team is seeking a seasoned technology executive with deep expertise in network operations. This individual will play a critical role in shaping and leading the operational strategy for Fidelity's global network, ensuring resilience, scalability, and efficiency across a complex enterprise environment.

This role is accountable for establishing and executing a network operating model that emphasizes observability, automation-driven operational procedures, disciplined ITSM practices, and proactive issue mitigation. The leader will collaborate closely with network engineering teams to manage operational readiness for all changes and enhancements, while fostering strong partnerships across geographically diverse teams. Success in this role requires not only technical excellence but also the ability to provide innovative thought leadership and drive transformation at scale.

Key priorities include delivering best-in-class incident management through tiered support and automated remediation, implementing robust observability with predictive analytics across all network layers, and overseeing service introduction for new capabilities and enhancements. Additionally, the role demands exceptional communication skills to clearly articulate complex issues, inspire critical thinking and action, and challenge the status quo by leading operating model changes that improve quality, stability, and efficiency.

The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise operations and IT networking field

  • Experience operating and supporting large-scale multivendor network environments

  • Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting and observability

  • Experience with technology lifecycle management, vulnerability management and industry best practices

  • Experience with enterprise IT service management platforms and ITIL

  • Experience with Lean / Agile based technology delivery teams

  • Capable of partnering with and influencing individuals at all organizational levels

  • Experience and knowledge in building strategies and a vision for implementing improvements.

  • Experience supporting cloud-based networking technologies

  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning skills

  • Ability to partner and collaborate with other technical leadership and their teams

  • Strong leadership and communication skills including the ability to influence other teams, build associate development plans, coach and mentor others

  • Ability to lead root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technology, training or process remediation

  • Candidate should have experience with IP networking (LAN/WAN, SDWAN, MPLS), network security, traffic management, DDI, proxies, infrastructure automation (Python, Ansible), and network monitoring tools.
