Job description

Interested in working in Marketing for a championship sports organization? The Miami HEAT Marketing team is looking for an upbeat, self-motivated, responsible, and dependable intern for the summer of 2026! As an intern, you will collaborate with all areas of business for the Marketing team with a focus on Game Operations and Jr. HEAT Camp. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; daily administrative duties, Jr. HEAT camp support and mentor, special event coordination, inventory tracking and additional support to the Chief Marketing Officer and/or Vice President of Marketing.
Marketing Intern Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.
  • Support Marketing campaign activations
  • Assist Miami HEAT Game Operations with events as needed
  • Assist with Jr. HEAT camps programming, gathering materials, and all camp deliverables
  • Provide support for Jr. HEAT camps with camp set up and breakdown
  • Monitor, update and maintain the Marketing and Jr. HEAT event calendar
  • Produce administrative materials for game operations, Jr. HEAT and Miami HEAT talent
  • Support the CMO and VP of Marketing on all special projects as needed
  • Administrative duties such as data entry, answering phones, copying, filing, updating mailing lists and donation requests
  • Assist with Miami HEAT talent requests, scheduling and data entry
  • Supply additional support to the Miami HEAT talent manager as needed
  • Manage promotional material inventory and supply refills
  • Provide assistance on set-up and breakdown of special events
  • Process departmental invoice on a weekly basis

Marketing Intern Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, in-person and over the phone
  • Ability to take direction, meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks
  • Must be available to work HEAT home games, HEAT camp, select weekend events, and evenings as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Must be enrolled in a college or university
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Heavy lifting (10-15lbs) will be required at times
  • Marketing, event planning and project management experience preferred
  • Proficient in Spanish is a plus
