Job description

The HEAT Group is seeking a Jr. Social Media Creator who is responsible for ideating, producing and posting content for Miami HEAT Dancers, Miami HEAT Store, Jr. HEAT and other auxiliary properties via Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok and other social media platforms. The ideal candidate for this part-time position will help uplift the Miami HEAT 'off court' brand on social media platforms in an effort to reach all of HEAT Nation across the globe. The ideal candidate is a strong content creator who is comfortable taking direction, moves quickly and brings fresh, on-brand ideas to life across Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media platforms to support many HEAT brands. This role reports to and receives coverage assignments and direction from the Sr. Social Operations Manager, who sets the priorities for these accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.
  • Primarily responsible for ideating, creating, and posting content for Miami HEAT's auxiliary accounts, such as Jr. HEAT, Miami HEAT Dancers, and Miami HEAT Store.
  • Provide coverage for Miami HEAT community events, Kaseya Center events and Miami HEAT Dancers appearances, as scheduled and directed by the Sr. Social Operations Manager.
  • Check in regularly with the Sr. Social Operations Manager on coverage priorities, direction, and scheduling.
  • Monitor daily social media trends, conversation, and engagement around the auxiliary properties, flagging opportunities and referring customer service needs to the appropriate department.
  • Collaborate with the broader social media team to help ensure content stays in line with brand voice and strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Social Operations Manager.

  • Significant knowledge of Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
  • Experience capturing and editing content on a cellphone/mobile device.
  • Extensive knowledge of pop culture, current events, and social media/internet culture.
  • Social media creativity and swift adaptability to current events.
  • Strong writing, creative, and analytical skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with explicit attention to detail and strong organizational, collaboration, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, well organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner while taking initiative.
  • Outstanding communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable taking direction from others while also bringing your own creative ideas to the table.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays for event and appearance coverage.
  • Photography and basic editing skills (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, CapCut) are a plus.
