Position Summary


The Vice President of Production Operations will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and serve as a senior executive responsible for completely evaluating, restructuring, optimizing, and scaling the company’s manufacturing and production operations. This leader will drive operational excellence across all production departments while building scalable systems capable of supporting aggressive company growth. This role is designed for a highly experienced manufacturing executive with a proven track record leading large-scale industrial production environments, operational transformations, and efficiency initiatives within growing manufacturing organizations. The Vice President of Production Operations will have direct authority over production personnel, departmental structure, operational accountability, workforce optimization, and manufacturing


performance initiatives to significantly improve efficiency, throughput, quality, profitability, and overall production output.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of all manufacturing and production operations.
  • Develop and execute a long-term operational transformation strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Directly oversee production leadership, supervisors, managers, and operational personnel.
  • Possess authority to reorganize departments, redefine operational roles, and implement personnel changes necessary to improve performance.
  • Build high-performance teams focused on accountability, productivity, efficiency, and execution.
  • Oversee all manufacturing operations including fabrication, assembly, logistics, scheduling, inventory control, and quality assurance.
  • Improve production throughput, labor utilization, cycle times, operational flow, and on-time delivery metrics.
  • Drive operational profitability through cost reduction, process optimization, and waste elimination initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, safety, and manufacturing regulations.


Qualifications


  • 10+ years of executive manufacturing leadership experience within large-scale industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Proven success leading operational turnarounds, manufacturing transformations, or large-scale production overhauls.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex production facilities and large operational teams.
  • Strong background in workforce optimization, operational accountability systems, and manufacturing scalability.
  • Extensive experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence programs.
  • Experience in HVAC manufacturing, modular construction, industrial systems, or mission-critical infrastructure preferred.
