Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, managing, retaining, and expanding Homeowners Association (HOA), community association, and property management banking relationships. The VP, HOA Banking Relationship Manager combines business development and portfolio management responsibilities by identifying new relationship opportunities, deepening assigned client relationships, monitoring portfolio performance, recommending deposit and treasury management solutions, and coordinating internal partners to deliver a responsive, well-controlled client experience.

Major Functions

  • Develop new HOA, community association, and property management banking relationships while managing an assigned portfolio with a focus on client retention, deposit growth, treasury management adoption, and relationship profitability.
  • Conduct proactive client and prospect calling to understand banking needs, present appropriate solutions, and maintain regular relationship contact throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Perform regular portfolio reviews to assess deposit balances, treasury management usage, service quality, documentation status, risk indicators, cross-sell opportunities, and client satisfaction.
  • Recommend deposit, reserve, assessment, lockbox, payment, fraud prevention, and digital banking solutions that support client goals and deepen relationships.
  • Coordinate internal resources to support prospect conversion, onboarding, account maintenance, treasury implementation, service requests, issue resolution, and ongoing portfolio reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned goals for new relationship development, portfolio retention, deposit growth, treasury management penetration, relationship profitability, and client calling activity while maintaining disciplined documentation and follow-up standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with HOA boards, community managers, management companies, reserve study providers, attorneys, accountants, and other referral sources to support both new business opportunities and existing client relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver prospect proposals, client reviews, and presentations that clearly communicate Avidbank's HOA Services value proposition, product capabilities, service model, pricing approach, and recommended solutions.
  • Serve as the primary relationship contact for assigned clients and qualified prospects, coordinating Deposit Operations, Treasury Management, Compliance, and Client Service partners to support onboarding, implementation, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Support treasury management implementation and ongoing usage, including online banking access, positive pay or fraud mitigation tools, ACH/wire services, lockbox, remote deposit capture, and other client-specific services as applicable.
  • Monitor portfolio activity, balances, service trends, exceptions, documentation needs, and client requests; proactively communicate status and resolve issues that could affect client experience, compliance, growth, or retention.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of HOA banking market trends, competitor offerings, deposit pricing, treasury services, and client needs; share market intelligence with leadership and internal partners.
  • Participate in industry events, board meetings, management company meetings, and industry programs to support market presence, referrals, client retention, and relationship growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Compliance Responsibilities:

Follow Bank policies and procedures during business development, client onboarding, portfolio management, deposit account maintenance, treasury management support, and relationship expansion activities. Ensure accurate collection, review, maintenance, and escalation of required customer due diligence, beneficial ownership, signer authority, account purpose, expected activity, documentation exceptions, and treasury management information. Partner with Compliance, Deposit Operations, Treasury Management, and Client Service to identify and resolve documentation, BSA/AML, OFAC, fraud, privacy, information security, or operational risk concerns throughout the prospect and client relationship lifecycle.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of relationship management, portfolio management, business development, treasury management, commercial banking, or HOA/community association banking experience.
  • Experience developing or managing HOA management company, community association, property management, reserve account, or specialty deposit relationships preferred.
  • Working knowledge of deposit products, treasury management services, cash management controls, fraud prevention tools, portfolio monitoring, client onboarding, and account maintenance requirements.
  • Strong consultative sales, relationship management, client service, presentation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance prospecting, client relationship management, onboarding requests, service issues, portfolio reviews, and internal deadlines while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Local/regional travel as needed for prospect meetings, client portfolio reviews, relationship meetings, industry events, and association meetings.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
