Job description

Job Title: VP Exploration

About the Company

CleanTech Vanadium Mining Corp. ("CleanTech") is a highly specialized critical mineral mining company (TSXV: CTV , OTCQB: CTVFF).

CleanTech's Fluorspar Projects received over 745 historic drill holes, covering over 17,750 acres and collectively control key segments of the Illinois Kentucky Fluorspar District's most productive fault systems.

The Opportunity

CleanTech is seeking a high-caliber VP Exploration to lead its geological strategy, manage and interpret extensive datasets, and oversee the technical advancement of its critical minerals portfolio. Specifically, the VP Exploration will be tasked with putting the Company’s fluorspar projects into production on an expedited timeline.

This is a remote-based role with a requirement for ~30% travel to project sites in Kentucky for site inspections and team leadership. The candidate must also be within a day’s driving distance to the Company’s projects in Kentucky and nearby states, or be willing to relocate there.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Geological Leadership

  • Develop and execute the Company’s exploration strategy, including land acquisitions
  • Lead all drilling, sampling, and geophysical programs
  • Fast-track the Company’s projects into development and production
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring all field activities comply with MSHA/OSHA and state-specific environmental regulations

Land Data, Mapping and Systems Ownership

  • Own and maintain all land-related datasets for the Company’s properties, including mineral and surface rights.
  • Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of GIS-based systems (including ArcGIS) that accurately capture parcel boundaries, ownership information, title-related data, and project-level metadata.
  • Be responsible for all parcel identification, mapping, and integration of land, title, and exploration datasets, ensuring that internal records are complete, current, and operationally usable.
  • Coordinate closely with Legal, which is responsible for legal interpretation of title, agreements, and rights, while VP Exploration is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and maintenance of the underlying land and mapping data.

Advanced Modeling & Resource Estimation

  • Modeling Leadership: Act as the technical lead for 3D geological modeling using Leapfrog and GIS mapping via ArcGIS
  • Data Integration: Lead the integration of 745+ historic drill holes with modern exploration data to refine resource estimates (tonnage and grade)
  • QA/QC Oversight: Establish and maintain rigorous data management and QA/QC protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards

Project Management & Corporate Matters

  • Collaborate with engineering teams and external consultants on mine planning, metallurgical studies, and process design
  • Support environmental and permitting activities, ensuring geological data aligns with regulatory and operational requirements
  • Manage project budgets, schedules (including Gantt charts), and technical deliverables to ensure milestones are achieved on time and within scope
  • Prepare technical presentations for shareholders, analysts, and at industry conferences (e.g., PDAC, Roundup)
  • Prepare weekly, monthly memos and reports to executive management and Board of Directors
  • Serve as the “Qualified Person” (QP) for technical disclosures, news releases, and NI 43-101–compliant reporting

Required Qualifications

  • P.Geo or equivalent designation
  • Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Leapfrog and ArcGIS; ability to independently develop and critically review complex models
  • Experience: 12+ years in mineral exploration, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Education: B.Sc. in Geology or Geological Engineering (graduate degree preferred)
  • Technical Writing: Demonstrated experience preparing technical reports and public disclosures
