Position Overview:
The Executive Vice President serves as the senior executive partner to the President & CEO and is responsible for the overall strategic leadership, growth, and long-term success of Anovaeon. The EVP acts as the President's principal advisor and executive counterpart, helping shape company strategy, evaluate risk, oversee execution, and ensure the organization develops into a mature, scalable federal services contractor.
While day-to-day operational management is delegated to functional leaders, the EVP maintains executive oversight and accountability for all aspects of the business. The role requires balancing strategic thinking with practical execution, ensuring that every major business decision aligns with the Company's long-term objectives.
The EVP is expected to exercise independent judgment, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and serve as a trusted thought partner to the President & CEO.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Executive Leadership
- Serve as the principal executive partner to the President & CEO in leading the Company.
- Participate in all major strategic decisions affecting the organization.
- Help establish long-term corporate strategy, organizational priorities, and growth initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, ethical conduct, and operational excellence.
- Provide executive oversight across all business functions while empowering department leaders to manage daily operations.
Business Development & Strategic Growth
Serve as the Company's senior executive responsible for expanding Anovaeon's market presence.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and pursuing new federal, state, and commercial opportunities.
- Developing relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and strategic stakeholders.
- Leading or supporting capture efforts for significant opportunities.
- Identifying new markets and service lines aligned with Anovaeon's capabilities.
- Developing long-term growth strategies and expansion plans.
- Representing the Company before clients, partners, and government officials.
Business development and capture shall be considered one of the EVP's highest organizational priorities.
Strategic Negotiations
Lead or advise on the Company's most significant negotiations, including:
- Prime contracts
- Subcontracts
- Teaming agreements
- Strategic partnerships
- Joint ventures
- Vendor relationships
- Client disputes
- Executive-level negotiations
The EVP serves as one of the Company's principal negotiators and strategic advisors during high-value business discussions.
Finance, Pricing & Corporate Strategy
Provide executive leadership regarding the Company's financial strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing major pricing strategies and competitive positioning.
- Assisting with proposal pricing for strategic opportunities.
- Evaluating financial risk associated with new contracts.
- Supporting budgeting and long-term financial planning.
- Advising on capital allocation and investment decisions.
- Working alongside Finance leadership to improve financial systems and reporting.
Legal & Corporate Governance
Serve as executive liaison for legal matters affecting the Company.
Responsibilities include:
- Working directly with outside counsel.
- Assisting with contract interpretation and negotiations.
- Evaluating legal and contractual risk.
- Supporting dispute resolution.
- Advising executive leadership on governance and compliance matters.
- Helping ensure the Company maintains sound corporate governance practices.
Executive Oversight
Although day-to-day operations remain under the authority of designated department leaders, the EVP is ultimately responsible for organizational performance.
The EVP provides executive oversight to all major business functions, including but not limited to:

The EVP is not expected to directly supervise or micromanage department leaders. Rather, the EVP provides strategic direction, removes obstacles, mentors leadership, ensures cross-functional coordination, and holds executives accountable for achieving organizational objectives.
Leadership Responsibilities
The EVP shall:
- Mentor and develop senior leadership.
- Build organizational capability and succession planning.

Decision Authority
The EVP is expected to exercise significant independent judgment regarding Company operations and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Core Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field required.
- Master's degree (MBA, MPA, or similar advanced degree) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including at least 7 years in an executive or senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated executive leadership experience within the federal government contracting industry.
- Proven success leading organizational growth, business development, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Extensive experience managing complex federal contracts, capture efforts, proposal strategy, and customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, federal procurement processes, and government contracting compliance requirements.
- Experience leading cross-functional executive teams and building scalable organizational infrastructure.
- Experience working with private equity-backed, high-growth, or rapidly scaling organizations is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any security clearances required to perform assigned responsibilities, if applicable.
