Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
The Ethical Resilience and Decision-Making Lead will be responsible for training design and delivery of graduate-level courses, professional trainings, and international educational experiences focused on ethical resilience, policing legitimacy, civil rights, state power, and democratic accountability. Responsibilities include developing innovative law enforcement leadership and ethics programming in partnership with organizations such as the Anne Frank House and Georgetown University's Center for Innovations in Community Safety; producing scholarship and public-facing thought leadership; cultivating strategic institutional partnerships; and conducting market analysis to strengthen the national positioning of EPPS and USC School of Law within the field of law enforcement leadership education.
This position will support the development of the Excellence in Policing and Public Safety Program, by growing it's training offerings, particularly those related to ethical resilience and decision-making, and marketing them to local and national audiences.
Qualifications
Professional work experience in training, design, and delivery of graduate-level courses, professional trainings, and international educational experiences. Background in ethical resilience, policing legitimacy, civil rights, state power, and democratic accountability.
Job Duties
Job Duty
Develop and deliver a half-day training for South Carolina law enforcement, in partnership with the Anne Frank House, that leverages concepts from the US Holocaust Memorial Museum's "Law Enforcement and Society: Lessons of the Holocaust" program. Additionally, create a training of trainers to train South Carolina law enforcement as instructors in this curriculum.
Responsible for outreach to and coordination with partner agencies for scheduling training opportunities.

Develop and deliver training on ethical decision-making and resilience for law enforcement to be delivered in partnership with Georgetown University Center for Innovations in Community Safety (CICS) in Washington, DC.

Develop and co-deliver a Master's level course around Principles of Ethical Resilience for the Excellence in Policing and Public Safety Program (EPPS) MSL

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with other organizations, think-tanks, thought leaders, and institutions to position USC School of Law and EPPS within national conversations around policing legitimacy, civil rights and other topics.

Conduct a market analysis of similar types of programs to determine how best to position EPPS and USC School of Law offerings within the field of law enforcement leadership training with an eye to future expansion and additional income generation.
