Job Description

Publicis Groupe is seeking a highly strategic VP, eCommerce to lead client engagement across our Managed Services team.

The Vice President, eCommerce is an expert in end-to-end eCommerce strategy and execution, responsible for helping clients grow sales and share by optimizing both organic drivers and influencing paid media approaches. This role will influence client P&L performance across Amazon, Walmart, and key marketplaces while integrating retail media strategy (Search, DSP, RMNs) to deliver profitable, scalable growth.

This individual will act as an extension of the client’s team, partnering closely with senior client stakeholders and internal agency functions. The role may include direct team leadership (up to three reports initially) and cross-functional influence across Analytics, Retail Media Activation, and broader agency capabilities.

At this level, you are expected to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and engage confidently with senior client leadership across a range of eCommerce topics.

Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Partnership

  • Serve as the senior day-to-day eCommerce client lead, operating as an extension of the client organization
  • Lead weekly business reviews (WBRs), monthly performance reviews, and quarterly planning cycles
  • Build relationships up to VP/C-suite level to align on growth and profitability goals
  • Translate client objectives into actionable eCommerce and integrated media strategies
  • Partner with broader agency teams (e.g., Media, Brand) to ensure unified client delivery

eCommerce P&L Performance (Functional eCommerce)

  • Drive marketplace revenue growth, margin expansion, and contribution profit initiatives via organic performance
  • Support and influence strategies across assortment, pricing, promotions, and trade investment optimization
  • Guide PDP content strategy and conversion optimization to improve performance
  • Establish KPIs, operating cadence, and best practices to drive consistent results in eCommerce performance (e.g.,
  • Instock levels, organic sales, inventory health, etc.)

Retail Media & Growth Integration

  • Oversee full-funnel retail media strategy across RMNs, including Sponsored Ads and DSP
  • Ensure retail media is fully integrated with eCommerce strategy
  • Drive improvements in incrementality, attribution, and media efficiency
  • Partner with activation teams to execute and scale media strategies aligned to commercial objectives

  • Deep expertise in Amazon and Walmart ecosystems
  • Strong experience with Retail Media, including Amazon Ads, DSP, and attribution frameworks
  • Proven ownership or influence of eCommerce P&L (revenue and margin)
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate for executive-level engagement
  • Experience within a holdco agency model or consulting environment supporting external clients
  • Experience scaling eCommerce businesses or portfolios
  • Exposure to additional marketplaces (e.g., TikTok Shop, Instacart)

Compensation Range: USD $159,695.00 - USD $218,500.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
