Based on the Ohio River in Augusta, KY, we are a fast-growing distillery known for age-forward bourbon, authentic visitor experiences, and a strong commitment to our local community. Our spirits have earned national recognition for quality and craftsmanship.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead market development and distributor execution for our ultra-premium Kentucky bourbon portfolio across a multi-state region. This role is responsible for driving sustainable sales growth while protecting the brand’s premium positioning in the marketplace.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry, experience working with distributors in a control and open state environment, and a proven ability to grow luxury or allocation-driven brands.
       Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies that grow revenue while maintaining premium brand positioning
  • Lead distributor relationships across assigned states, including goal setting, programming, and performance management
  • Drive depletion growth through targeted account development in key on-premise and high-end retail channels
  • Identify and secure placements in priority accounts that align with the brand’s image and pricing strategy
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute impactful, brand-appropriate promotional initiatives
  • Conduct purposeful market visits to work with distributor sales teams and support key customer relationships
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and pricing to identify risks and opportunities
  • Manage forecasts, track performance to goals, and provide accurate and timely reporting
  • Represent the brand at trade events, tastings, and industry functions in a professional manner
  • Ensure all activities comply with federal and state alcohol regulations as well as company brand standards
       Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the spirits or wine industry, with distributor management responsibility
  • Demonstrated success growing premium or luxury beverage brands
  • Strong understanding of the three-tier system and distributor operations
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and hold partners accountable
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region (50–70%)
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office
