What started as the largest denim launch in history, has evolved into an iconic and inclusive fashion line of denim, ready-to-wear, swim, and accessories.

As the Vice President of Logistics for Good American, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations to ensure the efficient and timely movement of products from suppliers to distribution centers, retail and headquarters. You will play a critical role in managing and improving our logistics network to support the company's growth and expansion, both domestically and internationally.

Your role will include:

  • Logistics: ensuring that product leaves our outsourced factories across the globe on time; and they arrive on time to our distribution centers at the optimal and most efficient cost. Your goal is to exceed the company’s objectives of utilizing boat vs air; unless cost suggests otherwise
  • Logistics: optimize the flows in our 3PLs; from inbound and put away, to pick pack ship, to return to shelves. You’ll be overseeing three different channels:
    • Wholesale: ensuring that charge backs are exceptional and at a low level; complying with routing guides of every account; and understanding the urgency of shipping close to open ship date vs cancel ship date
    • Ecommerce: ensuring all KPI’s and SLA’s with external warehouse are met/exceeded; bringing an efficient operations while delivering the best service to customers
    • Retail: with an expanding footprint, working with Planning to develop the optimal replenishment model to properly stock our brick and mortar stores
  • Third Party Logistics Centers: build strong relationships with our external 3PLs, to ensure best in class practices while delivering or exceeding efficiency expectations from a cost perspective

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and supports expansion into new markets.
  • Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, including transportation managers, warehouse supervisors, and supply chain analysts, to ensure the smooth functioning of the logistics operations.
  • Oversee the procurement and management of transportation and distribution services, including negotiating contracts with carriers and optimizing transportation routes to minimize costs and improve delivery times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, inventory management, and retail and wholesale operations, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of logistics activities with overall business goals.
  • Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve logistics performance, including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse and distribution processes, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to transportation, import/export, and warehouse operations.
  • Drive innovation in logistics technology and automation to streamline operations and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
  • Monitor and manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management in a multi-channel environment (wholesale / retail / ecommerce), preferably within the retail apparel or fashion industry.
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership and successful management of complex logistics operations in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of transportation management, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution logistics, including experience with international logistics and import/export processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision‑making and process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with third‑party logistics providers and transportation partners.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and technology tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain visibility platforms.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to logistics and international trade.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
