Job Summary

This individual will implement and support maintenance of all food related programs for mulitple locations, supporting the United Airlines lounge contract. This includes, retail, production and purchasing programs.  They will also assist in openings of new operations.

The ideal candidate may be located in Chicago, Newark or Houston.   Travel expectation is 50%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational plans and systems to insure that all contractual obligations are met
  • Assist in implementing Corporate and Regional programs based on Corporate and Regulatory standards
  • Develop and effectively communicate strategies for improving customer satisfaction
  • Provide training programs to assure consistent, high quality food at the accounts
  • Develop Culinary Support Team (Area Chefs) within region 
  • Complete all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadline
  • Manage budget in a fiscally responsible manner 
  • Read and comply with all policies and procedures of Sector and Compass as appropriate
  • Project and practice consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Culinary Arts or BS Degree plus five (5) years of progressive food service management experience, two (2) of which were preferably in a multi-unit setting.
  • Seven (7) years of progressive food service management experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Serv-Safe Certification
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Service oriented, collaborative approach to internal customer and peer relations
  • Comprehensive computer and writing skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and proprietary software (MyCompass, Webtrition)
  • Ability to function effectively and responsibly as a team member while working with multi-level supervision is required.  Must willingly adjust schedule to meet project needs
  • Ability to bend, reach and lift food and equipment (pots) up to 50 LBS
  • Ability to be a self-motivator working productively with minimal direct supervision
