Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Vice President of Construction is responsible for leading Traton Homes' construction operations, ensuring that all residential building projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards. This executive role involves strategic planning, team leadership, operational oversight, and risk management while aligning with Traton Homes' long-term growth objectives.

Strategic Leadership

  • Drive strategic planning and process improvement across all construction operations.
  • Represent Traton Homes in discussions with government officials, contractors, and developers.
  • Identify and evaluate new construction methods, technologies, and efficiencies.
  • Support company-wide initiatives and contribute to long-term strategic goals.

Project Management & Execution

  • Oversee all phases of residential construction projects: pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure timely delivery and quality completion.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Evaluate and mitigate project risks while ensuring profitability.
  • Evaluates and implements new or innovative construction methods and systems to improve efficiency, productivity and project outcomes.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing construction team, including Construction Managers, Superintendents, Warranty Technicians, and Field Personnel.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to all team members.
  • Effectively communicate project status, issues, and solutions to COO and other internal teams.
  • Contribute to the companies strategic planning by identifying new opportunities and improving existing processes
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and feedback to construction staff.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by Division President.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Financial Management

  • Oversee estimating, forecasting, budgeting, and cost control for all construction operations.
  • Identify and implement cost-control strategies to maximize project profitability.
  • Review financial performance and recommend adjustments to align with company goals.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelors in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Business Preferred
