President / COO

PE-Backed Flooring Installation & Distribution Company

Phoenix, Arizona (Primary) | Orlando, Florida | Travel Required

Base Salary: $200,000–$300,000+ | Bonus + Equity

The Opportunity

A privately backed flooring installation and distribution platform with operations in Arizona and Florida is seeking a President or COO to lead day-to-day operations across both markets. This is a newly created role designed to scale a growing platform, with projected combined revenue of $50M–$60M post-acquisition. A pending acquisition in the Orlando market will require immediate integration focus. The role reports directly to the Managing Partner and carries a clear path to CEO for the right operator.

What You’ll Own

  • Full P&L ownership across Arizona and Florida operations
  • Drive operational efficiency and margin improvement across fabrication, distribution, and installation functions
  • Lead integration of a pending acquisition in the Orlando market
  • Build and manage relationships with national home builder customers
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team across both states
  • Partner with ownership on growth strategy, capital allocation, and future M&A

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of operational leadership specifically in flooring, floor covering, or finish installation
  • Experience servicing national home builders at volume — Lennar, DR Horton, PulteGroup, or similar
  • Proven track record managing turnarounds and driving margin improvement
  • Background spanning fabrication, distribution, and field installation operations
  • Strong financial acumen — comfortable owning a P&L and presenting to a board
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate at both strategic and ground level
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Arizona, Florida, or Texas; ability to travel regularly

Compensation

  • Base salary: $200,000–$300,000+
  • Performance bonus tied to EBITDA and operational milestones
  • Equity participation
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
